Nollywood Mourns Shocking Death of “Omoge Campus”, Aisha Abimbola

More reactions have trailed the death of the 46-year old Nollywood actress, Aisha Abimola with many of her colleagues describing her death as “shocking and disturbing”. It would be recalled that the death of Abimbola was announced earlier today on the social media by her close pal, Bisola Badmus.

Aisha was said to have died from the agonies associated with breast cancer last night in far away Toronto, Canada. The fair in completion actress came into limelight in the movie “Omoge Campus” – a film by Bola Igida in 2001.

Late Aisha’s entry into the group of Nollywood producers was in 2016 when she shot a movie titled “T’omi T’eje,”; the movie was later premiered in Atlanta with music performance coming from a popular Fuji musician based in America, King Rokan.

An alumnus of Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo Aisha was also into catering services and has featured in movies such as “No Pain, No Gain,” “Awerijaye,” “So Wrong So Right,” “Omoge Campus,” “Kamson and Neighbours”  to mention but a few; she also featured in  soap operas with Papa Ajasco coming as the most remembered. She was one of those who wept bitterly following the death of another actress, Moji Olaiya almost a year ago.
