Makinde, Serving Generous Lagos Lawmaker Opens Filling Station

Hon. Rasheed Olanrewaju Makinde representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II opened a multi-million naira filling station earlier today, Sunday 5th of July in a boundary location sharing Ado-Odo Ota and Ifako-Ijaye Local Government areas with Ogun and Lagos States respectively.

City Wide Filling Station is located in a town named Akinde. The community is surrounded by other communities like Ologogoro, Dalemo, Abule Iroko, Saka, Alakuko and Itoki. The location of the gas station is very strategic as it witnessed immediate patronage from members of the community as well as motorists who use the road en-route Ogun State.

A chat by ONN publisher with one with Mr Alade, a plank dealer within the vicinity revealed that the construction of the structure began a few weeks before the total Covid-19 lockdown in Lagos. According to him, “work never stopped and the result is what we are seeing today”

The forty-five year old lawmaker is serving his second tenor in Lagos State House of Assembly;he was said to have received massive vote in the last election due to his generosity and concern for the welfare of members of his constituency.

Hon. Lanre Makinde holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) from Ogun State Polytechnic, Masters of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from University of Ibadan.He joined active politics in 2014, having served as Assistant Chief Town Planning Officer in Lagos State civil service.
