Once again, Super Eagles of Nigeria has been dropped to the 51st position from the 50th position last month in the latest FIFA Football Men’s Rankings, Ghana now occupies the 50th position and the 10th in Africa, a position held last month by Nigeria – It was a swap of positions on the ladder.
Recall that Nigeria was the 41st in the world and the 5th in Africa in October 2017 rankings before defeating Argentina in an international friendly held in Russia on the 14th of November – It ended four goals to two. The first five on the ladder still remained Germany (1st), followed by Brazil (2nd), Portugal (3rd), Argentina (4th), and Belgium (5th) respectively.
Senegal is still the best ranked African team in the world and the 1st in Africa; the West African team is 23rd in the world. Others are Tunisia (27th), Egypt (31st), Congo DR (36th), Morocco (40th), Burkina Faso (44th), Cameroon (45th), Ghana (50th), Nigeria (51st), and Ivory Coast (60th) in the world respectively.
