Today, Ibukun Afolayan hits the music scene with another cracker track titled “OJE” having successfully released his first album titled “CONFIRMATION” in December 2016.
Ib Kord better known as Ibukunolu has got himself involved in various life transforming programs and also have produced many gospel artist like CLARA HEPHZIBAH, BRO. INNOCENT, MOREEN OGEDENGBE to mention few. he remains a tireless devotee who has created space for himself in the music ministry.
IBUKUNOLU returned to the studio again and today 5th of June released his first single titled “OJE (TRICK)” from his forthcoming album under his record label IB KORD ENTERTAINMENT.
According to him “living in a society where values and moral standard are fast becoming a taboo, having leaders that lies, prophets that tell lies and even parents that don’t see truth as a virtue again”. For this reason, IB Kord was inspired to launch a crusader for #StopTheLies #SpeakTheTruth movement, also with a song to awaken people’s consciousness to the need of speaking the truth at all cost at all time.
ÒJÉ Trick is carved out from an old slang used in the oldies by “Yoruba” parents to decode a child when he or she told a lie or trying to play smart and immediately the child will correct him or herself. ÒJÉ_Trick song is a new groove in the gospel world which has been packaged to appeal to both young, old and most especially, any lover of truth.
The dance hall song which features Tosyn Israel, is a blend of English and Yoruba lyrics to sell the important of #SpeakingTheTruth and to stop feigning who you are not.
