A Nigerian with a jeep car with registration number APP 190 CE committed suicide yesterday 10th June at around 5pm local time, 2018 by jumping into the lagoon, specifically at Third Mainland Bridge, UNILAG axis by jumping into the lagoon.
It has become a common phenomenon for Nigerians to take their own lives by jumping into the lagoon or hanging themselves due to the current economic situation, worsened by the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration had embezzled colossal billions of of US Dollars before its government was dethroned by President Mohammadu Buhari in 2015 election which saw Nigerians coming out massively to vote for APC and ended 17 years of hegemony under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
Nigerians, unlike the culture of the people now take suicide deaths as the solution to their meagre income and other pecuniary challenges; those who cannot kill themselves take daring risks by voyage through the desserts and sea in order to cross over to Europe via Libya, Morocco and Egypt.
